Primetime Glick

First seen in many segments for The Martin Short (Talk) Show, Jiminy Glick is one of Hollywood's most acclaimed entertainment reporters and insiders. His show Primetime Glick aired on Comedy Central for three series, featuring bandleader and second banana Adrien Van Voorhees and Executive Producer Irving Cohen. The show featured interviews with a range of Hollywood celebrities, along with regular segments such as Jiminy's Home Movies, featuring candid scenes at home with his wife Dixie and four strapping boys, and La La Wood Fables, chronicling some of Hollywood's most legendary scandals. New characters included the irascible Miss Gathercole, along with impressions of John Malkovitch and Al Pacino. Every show ended with Jiminy relaxing in the steam room with that week's guest.

The show featured several SCTV connections - Eugene Levy, Joe Flaherty, Andrea Martin, Dave Thomas and Catherine O'Hara all guested, while Irving Cohen appeared as a semi-regular. The show was produced by Paul Flaherty and Mike Short, and directed by Paul Flaherty. Staff announcer is Lex Lang.

In 2003, Comedy Central released a Best of DVD featuring shows 1-1, 1-2, 1-4, 1-7, and 1-9, along with some outtakes.

Jiminy Glick In La La Wood

Jiminy Glick In Lalawood

Jiminy and family arrive in Toronto for the film festival. Things start badly when they book into a seedy hotel where the only other guest appears to be David Lynch, and their rookie publicist can't get Jiminy any interviews. But after sleeping through the premiere of superstar Ben Dicarlos' new film, Jiminy gives it (uniquely) a positive review, thereby bagging an exclusive interview with the reclusive star. His fortunes are instantly reversed, and everyone wants a piece of Glick. He paints the town red and schmoozes, waking the next morning having dreamt that he murdered Miranda Coolidge, fading star in town to promote her movie. When his publicist arrives, she has a full schedule, except Miranda Coolidge, who has cancelled...
