Episode Guide

For series 1-3, the episode guide uses running order from the Canadian shows. The US shows were edited to allow more commercial time, and occasionally completely different. Where differences are known to exist, they are noted on the appropriate series page.

For series 4 and 5, the NBC Network 90 running order is used; the CBC aired an hour-long version of the show in Canada. I don't currently have any information on the running order of the CBC versions.

The Cinemax shows were the same everywhere.

Executive Producers [All Series]: Andrew Alexander, Len Stuart.

After SCTV

After SCTV

After SCTV, various cast members revived some of their characters for other programs, movies, albums and specials. Some of the more well-known include Saturday Night Live, The New Show, Strange Brew, The Best of SCTV, and The Martin Short Show.

Searching the Guide

This is a simple phrase search: just enter a word or phrase (case insensitive) and the engine will find every instance of that phrase in the episode guide (not the entire site). Search is also accessible from the side panel on every page of the episode guide.

Search string:

Searching for a character? See also Cast list.

Searching for a show? See also Programming Day.

Searching for guests? See also Musical Guests or Special Guests.

Notes

  • A horizontal rule in the middle of an episode indicates a commercial break.
  • The small number beside a sketch title indicates the syndicated episode that it appeared in.
  • Some sketches are coloured red (if stylesheets are on). This indicates a sketch that is part of a wraparound (series of linked sketches in a show).
  • Some sketches are coloured gray (if stylesheets are on) and have an (R) or (R1) next to them. This indicates a sketch that was a repeat from a previous show. The number indicates the series the repeat is from.
  • Episode names are strictly informal, generally named after the most prominent sketch in the episode, or, in some cases, a recurring theme. In many cases, the choice is obvious.
